The Asymmetrical Response Pattern Estimator is
design estimation tool to predict On and Off-Axis Response and Polar Radiation
Patterns, in multiple driver systems, from Driver Size/Shape, Inter Driver
Spacing/Tilt and Crossover Influences. It is
used to see complex driver interactions in Horizontal and Vertical Polar
Patterns and in a conical projection, Off-Axis Frequency Response. It also
permits simple comparisons, by enabling and disabling a feature or physical
influence with a single click, so it can be used to understand any position or
size or filter effect separately or as a completely optimized design. Program
simulates point
source, circular piston and elongated ribbon shapes, in driver groups of up to
three, with up to two groups or six drivers total. These simulations can include
filters both Standard Minimum Phase and Linear Phase Crossovers up to 6th order.
In addition up to three FRD file driver responses or target responses can be
input, which includes
many Transient Perfect designs and with limited Floor Bounce effects. Saves
both a detailed and quick comparison polar chart and response graph as pictures in GIF
format. It also saves resultant Frequency Responses in FRD File format and
has load/save profile librarian capability.
ARPE Lite is a slightly simpler version of Asymmetrical Response Pattern Estimator. ARPE Lite produces identical results but is missing buttons to input FRD files, control/display phase, save chart images and is limited to three driver simulations only. Current
